Abstract

During the development of language children go through a period of time when trying to master the language. From the point of view of the theory of Natural Phonology, children implement an innate system of mental operations known as phonologicalsimplification processes with which modified the words can not produce correct way to simpler forms. From this perspective, the development of the phonological system is a gradual decline of these processes to the production of the proper imaging of the word is achieved. Thisresearch shows Phonological Process Simplification using a sample of 59 children without conditions, 4 and 5 years attending school in the city of Cordoba, Argentina. Test was used "baby talk phonological assessment" of Spanish origin prepared by Laura Bosch. The results showed that the structural processes are the most frequently used, second substitution processes appear and, finally, the assimilatory processes are located. These features are considered according to the age range covered by the sample. It is important to focus on phonological disorders affecting speech intelligibility, as it has allowed distinguish articulatory disorders, phonological disorders and those doomed to establish a reorganization of the linguistic system approach.
